Samsung is Spicing up its midrange phones by introducing two replacements for the Galaxy A51. The Samsung Galaxy A52, announced on the 17th of March Comes in two versions. One Version Come with only LTE and the other features 5G Connectivity.

The Galaxy A52 and A52 5G offer near-identical  specs and can be purchased at a low price. However, the price is greatly influenced by the version and Configuration you choose to buy.

Samsung Galaxy A52 price and release date

During the launch event held on the 17th of March for the new A series smartphone, Samsung announced the Galaxy A52 as well as its Pricing in Europe. The Galaxy A52 will be sold at a starting price of €349 and €429 for the LTE and 5G version respectively.

The price of the phone in the US Converts to $415 and $510 which may be slightly higher as a result of difference in Conversion rate.

Samsung Galaxy A52 design

The Galaxy A52 retains some design features from the galaxy A51. The A52 Sports a 6.5-inch display and features a rectangular bump at the rear top left Corner for the Main Camera. While the selfie Camera is housed by a punch-hole notch at the Centre of the A52’s display.

The Samsung A52 Comes in four awesome Colors; Awesome Violet, Awesome Blue, Awesome Black and Awesome White.

The phone features a Type-C USB Charging port and a 3.5mm jackphone. The power and volume buttons are located at the right-hand side of the phone. While the SIM Card/MicroSD Card slot is located at the top of the phone.

The Samsung A52 also features two cool Speakers, giving you a better movie and gaming experience. One speaker is located at the bottom and the other at the top of the device.

It is also important to note that all parts of the phone’s body including the Camera bump are made of plastic.

Both the Galaxy A52 and its 5G Variant Sport the same 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Panel with FHD+ resolution.  However, the A52 5G Variant feels smoother when scrolling or playing games because of its faster 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the A52 which is not as fast as the 5G Variant because of its 90Hz refresh rate is still an improvement to the 60Hz on the galaxy A51.

Samsung Claims to have a maximum brightness of 800nits on both the galaxy A52 and A52 5G. Giving users a better display experience when they are outdoors or under bright light.

The galaxy A52 and A52 5G also has an Eye Comfort shield which reduces the amount of blue light emitted from the display. There is also a Super Smooth feature that Keeps the view smooth when scrolling or playing games.

The Samsung A52 and A52 5G specs includes a quad Camera Setup at the rear and a single selfie camera. The smartphone features a 64Mp main Camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) For less shaky shots when taking pictures or recording Videos.

The setup also includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera and a 5MP depth sensor for taking amazing shots. The front Camera Sports a 32MP resolution in a Punch-hole housing on the phone’s display, with a Powerful enough Camera resolution which gives you an awesome shot while taking a selfie.

With this device, you also get Al scene recognition to help you take the best shots of objects. There is also a Night Mode Feature For taking shots under low-light. The Galaxy A52 is also adopting the Single Take feature first introduced on the Galaxy S series. This allows you to choose from different photos captured by the phone’s assorted lenses simultaneously. Samsung also partnered with snapchat to create a Fun mode that features filters and augmented reality effects.

The Galaxy A52 Cameras allows you to shoot videos in 4k resolution. This comes with an option that allows you turn any video frame into a still image with an 8Mp resolution using its “4K Video Snap” feature.

The processor you get depends majorly on the version of the Galaxy A52 Samsung you purchase. The Samsung A52 with LTE Connectivity packs a Snapdragon 720G processor, Same chipset on the Galaxy A72. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G sports a Snapdragon 750G processor.

Whether you’re focused on one task or multiple tasks at once, Galaxy A52 delivers a big boost in performance thanks to an advanced Octa-core processor and up to 6GB of RAM. Store more and delete less with 128GB internal storage. If that’s not enough, add up to 1TB with microSD card.

The Samsung A52 5G Supports Sub-6GHz 5G signals for next-gen speed and reliability. That means the phone will work on the nationwide networks of T-Mobile and AT&T. There’s no mention of mmWave 5G support. This version of 5G, currently only used by Verizon in the U.S., isn’t compatible with the 5G antenna in the Galaxy A52 5G.

Samsung A52 battery life and charging

Both Samsung A52 variants packs a 4,500mAh battery which Samsung Claims to last up to two days of usage.

in addition to the big battery, the A52 Smartphone has an intelligent battery feature. This feature automatically activates power-saving mode during your Sleeping hour, which makes it helpful if you forget to plug your phone overnight.

Both Samsung A52 models have a Charging Speed of 25W and comes with a USB Type-C Cable and a 25W Charging brick.

The Galaxy A52 runs on Android 11 on both variants, using Samsung’s One UI 3 software. Samsung is however working hard to integrate the A52 galaxy with other products like the Smart Things (a Line of smart home tech), the Galaxy SmartTags trackers, and the ability to share music with two pairs of Galaxy Buds or a second Samsung phone via Music Share and Buds Together.

Samsung also promised to rollout OS updates for three years and four years security updates. This updates will help keep your phone safe and fully-featured as long as you’re likely to use it.
