Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy M12. The Galaxy M12 design is based on the Galaxy A12. Although the M12 comes with a larger battery, at 6,000 mAh capacity. 

The Galaxy M12 supports the same 15W fast charging over USB-C as the Galaxy A12. Samsung promises 24 hours web browsing over Wi-Fi on a single charge. It can also play videos for 23 hours straight or music for nearly 5 days. 

The Galaxy M12 sports a 6.5-inch PLS LCD display with 720p+ resolution and 20:9 screen to body ratio. The phone comes with a single loudspeaker, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on board to blast your music using your earphones. 

The smartphone comes in three major colours, Blue, Black and Jade.

As for the camera, the Galaxy M12 sports an 8MP selfie camera on the phone display housed by a waterdrop notch. At the back, there is a Quad camera setup, 48MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, 2MP depth camera. 

The 48MP main camera can record 1080p videos (at 30fps) and capture good portrait photos with the aid of the 2MP depth camera. The 5MP ultra-wide camera captures shots with a 123° field of view.

Samsung Galaxy M12 Hardware

The chipset used to power the Galaxy M12 is one of Samsung’s chipset. Samsung said 
2.0 GHz octa-core processor was used on the phone. Unofficially, the info provided points to Samsung’s Exynos 850 chip which has 8x Cortex-A55, plus a Mali-G52 MP1 GPU. 

There are plenty of memory configurations available, with 3/4/6 GB of RAM and 32/64/128 GB built-in storage. The card tray has a dedicated spot for a microSD card (up to 1 TB) should you need more storage. 

The Samsung Galaxy M12 is a dual SIM phone with 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz, b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5.0. The phone also supports GPS, GLONASS, Beideou and Galileo positioning. Its Fingerprint sensor is built into the power button on the side. 

The Samsung Galaxy M12 is available in Vietnam as of today, though only the 32GB and 64GB models (more details here).
