Galaxy Book Go and Book Pro

The galaxy Books are likely to sport a refreshed look in May this year. According to leaked images by WalkingCat, the Galaxy Book Pro will be powered by 11th gen Intel Tiger Lake CPUs. While the Galaxy Book Go is said to feature a new Gen X Snapdragon 8cx SoC. The leaked images also outlined some of the specs and design of the upcoming Galaxy Books.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro

WalkingCat’s tweets shows that the Galaxy Book pro will come in Core i3, Corei i5, and Core i7 configurations. It is also expected to offer intel 11th gen processor, Intel Iris X graphics and an Nvidia MX450 (on the 15” extension only). This is a fair upgrade when compared to last gen Galaxy Book Ion. Just like the Galaxy Book Ion, the Galaxy Book Pro is expected to roll out in 13-inches and 15-inches.

The Galaxy Book Pro will continue with the Full HD (FHD) display. But this time, Samsung opted for an AMOLED panel instead of a QLED panel. The Galaxy Book Pro will weigh 888g for the 13-inch and 1,072g for the 15-inch models.

The Galaxy Book Pro is expected to roll out in two major colours, Silver and Denim Blue. From the leaked image, it can be spotted that the Book Pro will feature a Thunderbolt 4 connectivity.

Samsung will also be launching the Galaxy Book Go alongside the Galaxy Book Pro. The Book Go will run on ARM on windows. The images also indicate that Samsung will be using a newer Snapdragon 8cx SoC tagged Gen X. Samsung claims that this is 10% and 40% faster than the original 8cx in CPU and GPU tests, respectively. The image also shows the advantage of the new processor over the Intel Core i5-1035G4.

Unlike the Galaxy Book Pro, the Galaxy Book Go will sport a 14-inch FHD display and will roll out in two configurations. The first configuration is a Snapdragon 7c with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB UFS storage. While the second is a Snapdragon 8cx Gen X with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB UFS storage

Price And Availability

The Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Go are expected to launch in May 2021. This is probably when information about the price and rollout schedule will be announced.
