Months after launching the OPPO Reno 4Z 5G smartphone, Oppo is preparing to launch its successor, the OPPO Reno 5Z. According to mysmartprice the phone has passed its Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Global Certification Forum (GCF) certification.

Reports from gizchina indicates that the phone has a model number of CPH2211 as spotted at the FCC certification. According to mysmartprice, the same model number was spotted on Bluetooth SIG few days ago.

A few of the Oppo Reno 5Z specs were also spotted alongside the phone’s model number. The leak revealed a schematic diagram of the Oppo Reno 5Z. In the schematics, the device is seen to sport a triple camera setup at the back.

The diagram also shows that the phone’s power button will be placed on the right and the volume button on the left. Given that the power button looks like a standard power button and the absence of a fingerprint sensor at the back, the phone is expected to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Going by the leak, the phone is expected to come with Android 11 and ColorOS 11.1, Bluetooth v5.2 and also support 5G connectivity.

The device will pack a 4310mAh battery that is expected to offer 30W fast-charging support.

The FCC certification also reveals that the Oppo Reno 5Z measures 160.1×73.4×7.8mm in dimension and weighs 175 grams.

Unfortunately, other specifications such as the display size, screen resolution, camera configuration etc. Were not specified by the certification. Although we expect to know more about this device as more leaks surface in the coming weeks.

It is expected that the launch of this new smartphone is close. Given the number of certifications it has passed, we expect to see this device in March or early second half of the year.
