Apple Watch 7

It is no surprise that Apple follow a sequential order with their Watch naming structure. Since the last released smartwatch is 2020’s Apple Watch Series 6, it is therefore expected that the next one to be released this year will be called Apple Watch Series 7. Apple’s next smartwatch series, Apple Watch 7, might be designed to be more water resistant than all other previous series, improving on its aquatic features. Apple is expected to launch the product this year and are already working on its swim tracking features.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said that, Apple is “working on new swim tracking features for the Apple Watch.” Though he didn’t give any information on the improvements that will be made to the Apple Watch Series 6’s current swim tracking capabilities.

What To Expect From The Apple Watch 7

We can’t be sure of the authenticity of this intel as it is likely an excerpt from the report of rumours of a rugged Apple Watch 7. Last month, people familiar with the project told Bloomberg that an explorer-friendly Apple smartwatch is coming for Garmin’s customers. The exterior covering could be made of rubber that is more protective than the normal aluminium, titanium and stainless steel case offerings we are fond of.

While the current version, Apple Watch Series 6 is rated 5 ATM (swim-proof to 50 meters/164 feet), rated 10 ATM are the latest version of Amazfit T-Rex Pro and Garmin Enduro. We are sure that the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7 will be much improved supporting the advanced swim tracking features.

In addition to better water resistance, most of the best sport watches also boast military-level durability ratings for temperature and scratch resistance.

Of course, swim tracking features could arrive independently of this so-called rugged Apple Watch. Instead, the next watchOS software update or an added sensor in the flagship Apple Watch 7 could improve swim tracking.

Though there’s no 100% assurance on the little information about this Apple watch series 7 product, as it Could just be a rumour. But it is most likely true as Gurman is usually a credible information source about Apple products but intel about the company’s upcoming smartwatch has been scarce. So there is every possibility that the swim tracking upgrades might not come with Apple Watch 7.

We expect to get more accurate and trusted details as we approach the release date of the best Apple Watch which will most likely be at the end of summer or early fall.
