Huawei FreeBuds 4i
Huawei has recently launched the FreeBuds 4i True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones in China. This earbud is the successor of Huawei’s FreeBuds 3i released in 2019. The FreeBuds 4i comes with the same stem design as the freeBuds 3i but in a different case design.
The True Wireless Stereo earphones come in three colour options namely, Carbon Crystal Black, Ceramic White, and Honey Red. The earbuds also come with impressive features like active noise reduction, 10 hours of playback, touch controls, and more. The Freebuds 4i is lightweight, thanks to a well thought out design.
Despite the amazing design of the FreeBuds 4i, it does not seem to have an IP rating. This could be a major or minor setback for the FreeBuds 4i, depending on the consumers point of view.
However, overall design of the earbuds feels solid but not in a way that it can be compared to Apple’s Airpods. It could be on competing terms with KEF latest MU3 earbuds, but only a review will give us the info as two how this device performs when compared to other earbuds.
Huawei FreeBuds 4i price
Huawei has launched the FreeBuds 4i at a starting price of CNY 499 in China. It will be sold at a rough estimate of US $77.15 and Rs. 5,600 in India.
The earbuds are currently available for pre-order on VMall and Aliexpress. Orders from VMall are expected to start shipping from March 8.
No information has been released by the Chinese tech giant pertaining the availability of the FreeBuds 4i internationally.
Huawei FreeBuds 4i Specs and Features

The earphone comes with Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity and 10mm moving coil drivers. The earbuds have a quick connection feature that connects it to a previously paired device when the case is opened.
The earbuds also feature active noise cancellation as well as microphone noise reduction during calls. The Huawei FreeBuds 4i have dual microphones that can accurately pick up human voices to help in noise reduction during calls.
The FreeBuds 4i like the freebuds 3i supports touch inputs by users. So, by simply double tapping you can control your music and answer/reject calls. You can also switch between noise reduction, ambient sound transmission, and off mode if you long press.
The Huawei FreeBuds 4i packs 55mAh batteries in the earphones and a 215mAh battery in the charging case. Huawei claims a 7.5 hours battery life with noise reduction on and 10 hours with noise reduction off.
Huawei further claims that it takes the earphones an hour to fully charge when in the case while the case takes 90 minutes to fully charge. The tech giant also said the earbuds will deliver up to four hours of battery life under 10-minutes charge.
The low latency capability of the earbuds makes them suitable for gaming. But they will not be as cool as gaming headsets like the Fnatic React Gaming Headset and others.
