2021 MacBook Air

Though in the past there have been several leaks about the 2021 MacBook Air. A recent online leak has revealed some more information about this upcoming device. Some of the details include; it will launch with an Apple M2 SoC, and it will come in multiple colours. It was also revealed that the yet to be released device features a revised keyboard, a new chassis and white display bezels.

Jon Prosser, a popular tipster, shared some renders about this device last week. This time he has revealed more about the supposedly final design of the MacBook Air. He vouched for the authenticity of this supposedly final design claiming these photos were sighted off a pre-production model. Though there are some cautions to the leaked design.

As reported previously, the 2021 MacBook Air may come with a MagSafe charging port. On one hand, Prosser claims not to have seen beyond the white bezels, asides this nothing more on the display. Obviously, the bezel size is a guess as well as the port selection.

On the other hand, Prosser claims to see the actual bottom of the device. From what he saw, the bottom of the device has two rubber feet mounted on its short sides. The new MacBook Air has a flat design that is different from the current and previous models which have a tapered design.

The render obviously showed that a full-sized function keys was adopted. This minor change created an obvious visual difference in the keyboard’s arrangement. It moved the keyboard towards the bottom edge which restricts the trackpad’s maximum size. Another obvious visual change on the new device is that all keys will be white in colour.

The distinguishing thing about the upcoming device is that it will come in multiple colours. Overall, it seems that Apple will pivot the MacBook Air’s colours to that of the new iMac. Jon Prosser assures that the device will not be released until the last quarter of 2021.
