Envy 32 AIO Desktop

When it comes to all-in-one PCs, the name on the lips of so many is the iMac or Surface Studio among others. Hp at the CES 2020 event launched the HP Envy 32 all in one desktop. With the introduction of this desktop, anyone in need of a powerful all in one PC to run demanding programs, as well as games should have the HP Envy 32 inch all in one desktop at the top of their list.

The HP Envy 32 AIO PC has a stylish chassis and a combination of powerful components, including RTX graphics. The desktop is packed with amazing features, including turning the Envy 32 monitor into a Bluetooth speaker.

The stunning 4K display of the HP Envy 32 inch all in one makes it a suitable option for creators.

HP Envy 32 AIO price

At a starting price of $1,499, you can get the Envy 32 all in one PC at most retail stores.

The entry-level model of the Envy 32 inch all in one desktop packs a Core i5-9400 CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD and a GeForce GTX 1650 GPU with 4GB of VRAM. For additional storage an extra cost of $200 may be incurred to get you a 256GB SSD paired with a 1TB HDD.

The Envy 32 monitor can be configured the way you like at extra cost. While most people will be okay with spending an extra $200 to go from a Core i5-9400 to a Core i7-9700 CPU, others might want to spend an additional $180 to also boost the RAM from 16GB to 32GB.

Our HP Envy 32 all in one review model packs an intel Core i7-9850H CPU, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD with 32GB of Intel Optane storage and an RTX 2060 with 6GB of VRAM.

From there, you can add a 2TB, 5400-rpm HDD and go all the way up to an RTX 2080 GPU (8GB of VRAM) for $3,094.

HP Envy 32 AIO PC Design

The Envy 32 monitor has a sleek design. The PC is made from Wood, resin and fabric, making the Envy 32 PC one of the most elegant all in one desktop.

The Envy 32 can easily take up all the attention in a room mainly because of its wide 32-inch display and trendy aesthetic.

The PC has a Bang and Olufsen tuned speakers just below the monitor a housed by the gray fabric panel.

A built-in Qi charger is placed under the speakers. The Qi charger is meant for powering your smartphones and other devices.

At the top of the Envy 32 monitor is a pop-up camera just above the display. The camera can be hidden by pushing it down to flush with the top bezel of the monitor when not in use.

The HP Envy 32 all in one desktop weighs 30 pounds (13.6 Kg). This makes the PC too heavy to move around always. However, its weight is okay, considering that the Pc was not designed to be carried around but as a stationary machine.

HP Envy 32 All in One Desktop Ports

The HP Envy all in one Pc is equipped with all the necessary ports needed to connect your external drives and other accessories.

At the back of the Envy 32 monitor, you will find a HDMI in/out input, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, two USB 3.1 Type-A inputs and a USB Type-C input.

Located at the right edge of the PC are easily accessible USB 3.1 Type-A port and a headphone/mic jack.

HP Envy 32 AiO Display Review

The HP Envy 32 inch all in one monitor sports a sharp and colourful 4K IPS display. With its massive size as an added advantage, the Envy 32 AIO gives you an experience similar to what you get while watching movies on your TV.

The display has an HDR rating of 600 and is expected to have a brightness of 600 nits. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown to us we could only get the brightness up to 486 nits. Although short of the advertised value, the brightness is quite impressive.

The desktop comes with seven preset display modes, Standard, Movie, Gaming, Vivid, Warm, Cool and Native. What these modes does is to change the color temperature of the Envy 32’s screen to suit its current application.

HP Envy 32 inch Monitor Performance Review

With its amazing Intel Core i7-9700 CPU and 32GB of RAM, the Envy 32 all in one PC review model performed outstandingly during our usage.

The PC seems to hold its own without lagging when multitasking. Leaving multiple tabs open while watching movie and performing other tasks did not seem to slow down the computer.

It took just 7 minutes and 42 seconds to convert a 4K video to 1080p resolution. That’s about half the time it takes most premium laptops to complete that same task.

The 1TB NVMe PCIe Intel SSD inside the Envy 32 AiO monitor is also speedy, if somewhat unremarkable. The storage drive converted 4.97GB of multimedia files in 10 seconds, for a rate of 508.9 megabytes per second.

HP Envy 32 AIO Gaming Review

Our Envy 32 AIO unit came equipped with a GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card which made it capable of running high graphics games.

The Envy 32 All in one desktop is capable of running demanding games. Games such as Far Cry New Dawn, Hitman 2, Metro Exodus, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Middle earth: Shadow of War. Although the graphics settings must be changed for each game because not all were able to run on 4K.

HP Envy 32 AiO keyboard and mouse

The Envy 32 comes with a Keyboard and a mouse like most all in one PCs. Both the mouse and the Keyboard are connected wirelessly to the PC.

The PC features two additional Bluetooth channels for connecting the keyboard to other devices. Devices like your smartphone or table for typing purposes. You switch between which device has access to your keyboard with the press of a key.

The keyboard is impressively decent for typing purposes. Although the key travel is not quite large, the typing experience feels great.

The wireless mouse is basic in comparison to the keyboard. Its low-profile and subtle curve makes it easy to hold, and the sensor is responsive enough for basic tasks.

HP Envy 32 Audio Review

HP nailed it with the Speakers on the Envy 32 AIO, all thanks to Bang & Olufsen a respected high-end audio brand. The Envy 32 monitor’s seven front speakers and subwoofers produced some of the best sound I have heard on an all-in-one desktop.

Knowing how good these speakers are, HP added a cool feature. This feature allows you to use the Envy 32 AIO speakers as a stand-alone Bluetooth speaker. Meaning, you can play songs from your phones and tablets even when the desktop is turned off.

Webcam

The 5MP IR pop-up camera above the Envy 32’s display shoots poor photos and videos. However, the colour production is quite decent. If you frequently make video calls with friends, we suggest getting an external webcam.

When it comes to security, pushing the camera down to flush with the top bezel of the monitor will help to prevent people from spying on you.
